When the world is changing in unpredictable ways, what foundation do you stand on?
While it's easy to feel overwhelmed by forces beyond our control, each one of us has the freedom to come into a more sacred relationship with ever-present resources:
How do you spend your time, energy and attention?
Do you take good care of your body, mind, heart and soul?
Who do you share your limited resources with?
These are the central questions that guide the weekly online gatherings of the Grounded Connection community.
We honor our bodies by slowing down to listen, noticing the the wordless signals that cut through the noise and point us towards what really matters.
We honor our experience by sharing honestly what feels good, what feels difficult, what feels confusing, what makes us curious.
We honor each other by listening compassionately, reflecting back what we hear, making connections as we learn together.
We honor our agency by refining our attention to recognize our habits with enough foresight so we can create new choices.

On each call, participants check in with the questions that are most alive in them. Then there is a shared somatic practice built on the energy that is already present.
After a group harvesting of the insights of the felt sense, partners meet in breakout rooms to dive deeper into the questions that shape their lives. They listen for the ways that every word spoken and heard rearranges the inner landscape of feeling and become increasingly skillful at holding space.
At the end of the call, we take stock of what we have created together.
Grounded Connection is a practice ground for learning how to build the same kind of shared well-being with friends and families, at work, and in the world at large. It’s a place for folks who love life-long learning to find each other, resonate and flourish.
What does it takes to create connection?
What gets in the way?
It’s easy to notice that the current landscape we live in doesn’t support connection. Most of us are too busy, overwhelmed and/or skeptical of too many shiny objects that have been pushed on us too aggressively.
Yet, despite all the trinkets money can buy, despite all the amazing tricks of AI, there is nothing that can replace the exhilaration of meeting - and being met - by another person in a way that resonates way down below the surface.
The simple visceral reminder of our shared humanity is fundamental nourishment - as vital as food and water - in order for us to act in the world as whole human beings rather than performing partialities.
So perhaps it makes sense to first make a little space for grief, that in our current generations, we didn’t inherit the kind of culture - in our families, schools and other institutions - that naturally fosters this kind of connection.
It hurts. And for most of us, it appears as nothing more than “the way it is” for most of our formative years.
So when you wake up to the desire to consciously grow more connection in your life, you don’t have to start with the idea that your current lack is somehow your fault.
Still, to have what can so easily slip through the cracks in this day and age, requires skills that we weren’t taught and may or may not have picked up along the way.
Because it’s perfectly possible to pay your rent without experiencing true friendship. Or to have something called “friendship”, but without real depth.
There's plenty to “entertain” us these days, but without engaging in ideas that matter to us, our creative juices stop flowing.
Grounded Connection approaches the human experience in the wild world of today like a fascinating jigsaw puzzle being pieced together by a group of friends.
We explore together the subtle ways that our thoughts shape our bodies, how inner feeling shifts our outward expression and how others respond to us.
We make unexpected discoveries and keep cultivating wonder on every weekly call.

During the open house, we’ll check-in together, explore the somatic mantra that is our bread and butter practice for powerful presence and deep dive in partner dialogues that reveal the interwoven nature of thought, sensation, emotion and participation.
We'll close out the call with a group harvesting of what we've learned.
Typically, it's magical.
