Then from here, the practice is to hear that possibility in any instance of speech, even if it isn't intentionally poetic, whether it's your voice or the voice of an Other.

I agree that the better question is “Do I like this music?” as opposed to “Does it always work?”

However, having participated in several Musicality of Being workshops, I can say that it does almost always “work” in the sense that it becomes more automatic the more you practice it. The way I experience life these days feels significantly more harmonious!

Wonderful to hear that!

Yes, this practice is more likely to "work" the more you use it - and it teaches you how calibrating a sense of presence is different in each environment or situation. Once you know how to do that, it's easier to "like more styles of music", so to speak!
